    For 125 years, Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind has served the blind and visually impaired community across Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia; providing rehabilitation, job training, assistive technology, and the tools for independence.

    The 125 for 125 campaign is raising $125,000: $1,000 for every year of service to fuel the programs, technology, and training that open the world to people with vision loss.

    Your gift makes a direct impact:
    - $40 provides a white cane
    - $200 covers a free low-vision exam
    - $500 funds one day of orientation and mobility training
    - $1,000 provides assistive technology training with JAWS software or a smartphone
    - $2,500 sponsors one person through our Foundations of Adjustment to Blindness program

    There are 77,463 people living with blindness or visual impairment in the greater DC region. Every gift, at every level, moves our mission forward.

Since 1900, Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind has been dedicated to helping the blind or visually impaired population of the greater Washington region overcome the challenges of vision loss. Our work enables people of all ages who are blind or visually impaired to remain independent, active and productive in our society.  CLB's essential life-changing programs and services include independent living skills, assistive technology instruction, and orientation and mobility. 

CLB is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions to CLB are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. CLB's tax identification number is 530196609.
